Yo yo, cool site!

Question: I've got an eclipse navigation unit in my car, it's got about 10gb free for movies, music, etc, but i'm not really sure what formats work, etc.

Do you have any recommendations for recording stuff and transfering it to a usb stick to upload to my nav unit?

hmm, good question, I USED to have an ecplipse avn in my car actually, but it was stolen. :(

You should be able to record just about any music file you want using Replay Media Catcher, or Replay A/V.

Media Catcher has a built in converter so you can convert the music files to mp3 format, and the video/movie videos to mp4 format for your in-dash unit.

Replay A/V is great too, but the Replay Converter program for converting is a bit extra.

You should be able to just copy/paste any recorded media onto your thumb drive, pop it into your eclipse and upload quite easily.
