I need to record music onto a digital camera for editing. I can't upload the audio file because the software I'm using won't let me. Right now I'm just recording the sound coming from the monitor speakers, but the quality isn't very good.

I'm thinking of soldering a mono headphone jack to an AV in/out audio cable so I can plug the digital camera into the headphone socket. Is that a good idea?
