Ok, this is just crazy, my friend just told me that netflix JUST changed their online movie viewing, while they used to let you watch 6-7 hours (for the basic plan) of movies online per month, they now let you watch them UNLIMITED.

What's this mean for you? Using Replay ScreenCast, you can RECORD these movies to your computer now and watch them whenever you want. At this point in time, they've got 6000+ online movies, and that database is growing each day.

They use their new "netflix player", as of now, the ONLY program i've used/seen/tested that can record this is Replay ScreenCast

If you have a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 it gets even better, using your ps3 you can stream movies that are media player compatible on your TV from your ps3.....this is done via a network connection to your computer.

The xbox 360 is similiar, though I THINK you need to have the Media Edition of XP or Vista to use this. (If i'm wrong on this, let me know and i'll post a correction)

Anyways, Check out http://www.netflix.com/HowItWorks, you just pay $8.99 a month and get unlimited movies online, on demand....that sure beats 6-7 hours of movies pre month!

Who needs them to SEND you dvd's in the mail when you can just view them and record them!

As for me, i'm signing up right now!

Enjoy, and thanks to Ohbeone (on this forum) for the tip! Applause Pray Dancing

You're welcome. Once you told me how you can watch a movie from your comp on you TV through your PC it clicked.

Keep in mind, from what I've seen the movies that are available aren't the greatest or they're old. I don't know if they're doing intant watch on more recent stuff. So check out what movies are available before signing up and being dissappointed with the selection. There are some good ones but a lot of B movie stuff. May have changed in the last couple months since I last checked though.

Looks like you fixed the link, cool

There are some good ones. And I logged in to check out more. Not much recent stuff but good oldies. Ghostbusters, Karate Kid, etc.

Recent shows like Heroes season 1 and a recent movie or 2 like Pans Labrynth...since most people have netflix anyway, couldn't hurt to stream this stuff into your living room. and you don't have to wait for the DVD to arrive in the mail...just for the movie to record first.
