If you're looking to record xxx cams, or flash type cams, WM Capture WILL record those cams, and all others flash based ones, such as yahoo cams, cam4.com cams (xxx), and many others.

WM Capture pretty much allows you to record ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING you see on your screen. You can use arrows to specify an area on your screen you want to record, or you can just record the whole screen!

WM Capture is the only PC video recording program ever made that captures video from any online source with perfect quality - if you can watch it you can save it. It records video from ANY Web site, regardless of format. It even records DVD's playing on your PC. And because it does not circumvent or hack DRM (Digital Rights Management) or any copy protection technology, it's 100% legal world-wide.

Click Here to try WM Capture for free and record UNLIMITED 2 minute movies at no charge.

If you're trying to record Windows Media Player webcams, or even Real Player webcams

You can't go wrong with Replay A.V for it's ease of use and many other options.

Replay A/V 8.0 can now record TV from TV Tuner Cards and from web cam attached to your PC. Thus it can record almost anything on your computer:

- TV from TV Tuner Cards
- Web Cam
- Capture Online Video Clips
- Schedule and Record Radio Shows and Stations
- Find Radio, TV & Podcasts with the Integrated Media Guide
- Convert to 36 Popular Output formats
- Record Internet TV Stations
- Turn Audiobooks into MP3 Files
- Record XM™ and Sirius™ Online feeds
- Download and Convert Podcasts and Video Blogs
- Record from Webcams or audio devices attached to your PC
- Record, Convert and Copy to iPod automatically
- Internet radio shows and stations
- Internet TV stations
- Audiobooks
- Podcasts
- Video Blogs (Vlogs)
- SlingMedia SlingBox device
- XM and Sirius Online feeds
- Audio from an AM/FM radio or any external device attached to the mic or line-in input on your PC.

It's pretty much a jack of all trades, and I highly Recommend it.

Has anybody else tried it? If not, Applian is now letting you try it completely FREE of charge here: Replay A/V Free Demo

So, with the two choices presented, I'd have to say if your'e JUST looking to record webcams, and things you see/hear on your screen, Screencast would be the way to go.

BUT, if you're looking to record Windows Media Player webcams and pretty much everything ELSE too, I'd HIGHLY recomend Replay A/V

Both are great programs, depending on your other needs, you really can't go wrong with either one!

***Before I Forget***
[bIf you want to record pretty much everything you come across, including these items and more, check out the Audio/Video Streaming Capture Suite which comes with both of those programs, plus many others at about half the price of each. [/b]

Hey once again thanks for mentioning this. We do some podcasting with the set of Macs we have here and i think it would be quite useful to have something like this for "borrowing" online content that we can't download so easily.

Thanks

Matt

Cool, indeed it would....just so you know, I'm not 100% sure if these programs work with the mac os, as they're generally made for windows machines. I THINK you'd need to be running windows via your mac, so make sure you try the free demo before you buy, just to make sure! I don't know any mac specific software off top of my head for this, but I can look into it if ya like...
