Ringtones seem to import and export OK, but when sync'd to iPhone they playback but fade in and out and are generally poor quality. Seemed to work OK on ringtones synced before the 2.1 upgrade but now very patchy. Anybody else had this problem..... Mike

I am having this same issue. So far only 2 of the ringtones I have created do not sound choppy. Using a Vista machine with 3GB of RAM. Any thoughts?

Haven't seen this before...can you tell me what you are using to create the ringtones? iTunes, mp3.. I'd like to see if I can duplicate this.

Same issue. Itunes 8.01, 1st gen iphone, firmware2.1.
I have tried 5 DRM free mp3's that I downloaded from various sources. I take 30 second clips of mp3's from itunes,, import them into iringer, preview them, they sound fine, export them, sync my iphone, they appear in the custom folder. Everything is fine up to that point, but when the iphone actually plays the ringtone, it is very choppy; it cuts in and out at the same points each time a ringtone is played. I tried messing with the volume, no change, it cuts out in the same spots each time. Anybody else experience this?
